Blessing The content of this page essentially derives from one source (see below).
In this text, Professor William Blessing surveys a considerable amount of the neuroscience which is of direct interest and relevance to West meets East discussion - particularly relating to Tier 2 of the suggested Model.
However, there are two major exclusions from Prof. Blessing’s text which have not been posted to this web-page.
The first is the Bibliography.
This extensive and comprehensive listing runs for more than 130 pages, with perhaps some 2000 individual citations.
References found throughout the .pdf files below (i.e. from the text of the book) are naturally made to this Bibliography, and the reader will need to obtain access to Prof. Blessing’s text for further details on this source material. The second area of exclusion has to do with diagrams.
While almost all diagrams in Prof. Blessing’s text have been posted here, those that are too detailed or too complex have not.
It is an issue of reproduction quality.
Examples of those that have not been reproduced are the brainstem sections of chapter 8 (Fig. 8.2 A-H, pp. 376-383), and of chapter 3 (Fig. 3.1 A-H, pp. 30-32). The interested reader is urged to refer to the text for complete and original content. The Lower Brainstem and Bodily Homeostasis
